CARE FOR CURT

We're kicking off the fundraiser "Caring for Curt"! My father-in-law just recently went in for open heart surgery. He was having pain in his arm and chest and they couldn't find what was wrong. Through some further testing they were able to find what was wrong. 75% of his Main artery was blocked. If he wouldn't have gone in for surgery that very day he would have been dead in a few days. Because this came on somewhat suddenly the family wasn't prepared for the heavy burden of medical expenses. We wanted to work together to give back and Care for him like he has cared for so many of us.  

FUNDRAISER INFORMATION:
Location: Rockin'R-Ranch 
Date: Saturday, August 17th 2013 (yes it's air conditioned!) 
Time: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and Show begin at 6:30 p.m.  
Delicious Chuckwagon dinner and wonderful Western Show!  
Take the Opportunities for a fun Western evening with Dinner, Show and Pictures
 We will also be holding a Silent Auction. Results will be announced at the conclusion of the show.

The fundraiser will be a fun filled night of good old County Bar-b-Que and entertainment at the Rockin'-R-Ranch! They have been more than generous with us and will allow us to sell tickets below normal price $25 for an adult instead of thirty $32, and $15 for a child instead of $20... In addition they are donating 20% of the profits to the cause. This is a wonderful opportunity and will be a fun evening for everyone who is interested in Caring for Curt and his family. Lucy Squires is born

Lucy Squires was born March 1st @ 5:00 p.m. She was 7 lob. 12 oz. 20 inches long. She is perfect! Another miracle given to us.

I am doing well and recovering quickly. The girls love having our new addition and with it comes a lot of adjustments. We will get it organized soon... Right? Anyway, thought I'd post some pictures for everyone to enjoy!

Make a Smilebox scrapbook

Crunch Cookies dunk'in!

Recipie:

2 beaten eggs
1C brown sugar
1 C sugar
1 1/4 C oil
2 C. flour
2 T. lemon juice
2 C. oats
2 C. corn flakes
1 C. nuts (optional)

Beat eggs
add sugars and oil
add dry ingredients
add flavorings
knead by hand oats, cornflakes and nuts all together

Makes a tough dough- Bake at 350 for 10-12 min!

This is a good cookie to add to your "year supply" sweet list! No butter or shortening needed. Makes it really easy! They are great with milk! The girls and Carl love them!

WEDDING bells are ringing!!! and ringing!!! and ringing....

I didn't mean to fall of the edge of the planet. I've been REALLY busy with the wedding. For those of you who are coming or will be there tonight you will see why! I hope everyone enjoys themselves... especially Elizabeth and Clint. We put forth a lot of effort and thought and we hope everyone remembers this reception as a tribute to all our friends who we love and can't wait to celebrate with! Love you all...
